保罗·麦克唐纳

保罗·麦克唐纳，英文名Paul McDonald，1984年8月29日出生于阿拉巴马州的亨茨维尔，俗称麦叔，美国知名独立音乐人。

2011年参加美国偶像第十季，获得第8名。麦叔曾组乐队Hightide Blues及The Grand Magnolias，任乐队主唱，擅长多种乐器。代表作品有《American Dreams》、《Now That I've Found You》、《All I've Ever Needed》。

2012年10月29日，麦叔与老婆Nikki Reed创作并发行了新EP："The Best Part"；另外，夫妻共同创作并演唱的单曲"All I've Ever Needed"收录于暮光原声带："Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 [Soundtrack]"中。

"I never even really got into it besides back when Ruben Studdard was on it. It was one of those things I fell into. I happened to be in town and it was 5 minutes down the street. My friend convinced me to walk down there and do it. I had no expectations of anything. That’s why I’m so happy to make it this far. There was no goals really set in stone. I was just doing it for fun. It never had been my dream to win American Idol. I was in it to have a good time. It was a once in a lifetime deal. I didn’t expect to get this far. Once I got down to the Top 10, I was thinking ‘Wow, I’m getting close, maybe I could do well in this thing.” You don’t realize it until it’s narrowed down. I was just taking it one day at a time."

2011年3月7日，在《Red Riding Hood》电影首映式上，麦叔与《暮光》女演员Nikki Reed一见钟情。

2011年10月16日，麦叔与Nikki在Malibu海滩举行了婚礼。

2014年3月，两人宣布对外离婚。
