A middle-aged Chinese mogul has been forced to deny rumors he is dating Taylor Swift.

Charles Zhang Chaoyang, 52, responded to entirely unproven social media reports that Swift has struck up a new romance with a Chinese tycoon in his 50s.

Chinese internet sleuths seemingly decided Zhang was the man in question - due to his matching up with the two deions in the online rumor.

But the 52-year-old denied the claim on Friday, going as far as to say he does not even know who Swift, 27, is.

’It’s just a rumour,’ the CEO of Sohu - a Chinese internet firm, said, according to the South China Morning Post.

He distanced himself from the rumor during a live-stream hosted by his company, Sohu.
